If a piece is using a lot of colours... an excessive amount of colours, then it isn't optimized and isn't as good, isn't as pixel art as it could be. Therefore the "too many colours" comments are entirely valid, and not part of a trend we as a community are locked into and need to be shaken out of.  |

When I learned of the oasis, I said to myself : "Hmm, self. If you were trees in a wasteland, where would you be?" and I picked a spot on the map and was frighteningly and absurdly right. Also I just bought super smash bros for the Wii. Somewhat depressed by how soulless it feels on account of no voiceacting whatsoever, but overall interesting. I didn't know/didn't think there'd be such a cool storyline, though :D | |

I cried in my heart :( It's not really that complicated, though. There are tutorials for FL that give you the information needed: I.E where to find sounds, what a pattern is, and how to put patterns into the song. Just use youtube and/or google, and you will be rewarded :) | |

Saboteur @ 11/29/2008 12:39:11 AM commented on Big Bird I'm so used to my tiny tablet I find it hard to use anything else anywhere. I can't make edits at school 'cause I never bring my tablet and haaaaaaaaate pixelling/drawing with a mouse.I even game with it, when applicable. First person shooters don't like that very much though, absolute positioning + relative aiming = fail. MORE EDITS If you're a casual artist, just like to draw every once in a while, Get a Wacom Bamboo or something equal and not so big. I've got a Graphire4 4X5 and it's actually functional, though not ideal. If you draw every day for at least two hours (whether on the computer or not) get a Wacom Intuos3 9X12 or thereabouts. Bigger is better, as long as it suits your needs and fits on your desk. If you're a professional artist working in a studio, don't get anything because the studio should have one (Cintiq if you're lucky ;)), and you're likely to spend so dang much time at the studio that you won't want to draw at home anyhow. If you've got too much money, get a Wacom Cintiq. Cintiqs are essentially monitors you can draw on. Unfortunately, they cost multiple thousands of dollars, if I recall correctly. | |
