I've been spriting since I found out about emulation, which was around '99, I did what most begginners did, I grabbed the Zero sprite from Megaman X4, and re-coloured him.
Which hardly counts for spriting, but it's how I began. after that, and after surfing the net for a year or two, I found myself to really enjoy seeing what I called 'Perfect-Pixel' images, they were just so neat and tidy looking, no excess colours or JPEG artifacts.
And in all honesty thought I was fairly alone in this. Most of my pixel-art's are mainly screencaps or such that I liked from various things and then redone with a few selected colours from the image.
So anyways, I'd gotten a few images under my belt, and had scanned and put all my sketchbooks' contents onto my PC, only to have the PC die on me nary a year later, losing all my work (Including my sketches! Oh the Pain!), except for a WIP of 'Gene' (The final looked a mite better!) and an as-of-yet not posted artwork.
So I've decided to start up again, as I've loads of free time since I'm no longer in High School (Haven't been for awhile, but it sounds like a nice excuse!
