A small test of the DB8 palette (DawnBringer's 8 color palette v1.0).

Tileset and some objects honoring the work of Dan Malone and the Chaos Engine games. Dan's graphics are always among those that remap the best when testing limited palettes. So I couldn't resist drawing a DB8-tileset based on his style (all drawn from scratch though, nothing copied or remapped here!)

All work done in GrafX2 v2.4.035

Thanx for the positive response, guys! For the longest time I hesitated; doubting is was motivated to "publish" such a small palette. But the fact that the limited scope of 8 colors allowed for analysis & diagrams that would become too complicated with larger palettes - made it an interesting enough project (check the forum link for a bit more stuff).

Daruda (Level 4 Button Man) @ 12/8/2017 10:22

Oh, it's DB...

THIS should have been the colour palette of the ZX spectrum computer...

A new DawnBringer palette and mockup -- Christmas has officially come early. I'll have to study this closely!

ParkerBabyDiaperCompany (Level 2 King Checker) @ 12/6/2017 17:55

I usually don't like dithering, but with these colors and this style it works perfectly.

DawnBringer (Level 10 Pixel artist) @ 12/6/2017 16:43

It's done, it's been done a long time! :)

Note that the RGB-values all end with either 0 or 5, so it's easier to spot if any color is wrong...

skeddles (Level 11 Sphinx) @ 12/6/2017 16:29

Love it, hope to see more mockups. Can I add it to my palette list or is it not done?
