lol, havent heard that in a long time :P

i should go and fix this, i had like 0 knowledge of anatomy when i did this. the only thing i actually have a reason for is that the trapezius muscle on his right side was supposed to support the horn coming out of his shoulder. everything else is because of my lack of knowledge.

oh, im not saying that the daemon's muscles arent there, im just saying that they all look very much like you worked from basic ideas instead of observation (improvising). 

big issues here are

-the trapezius looks off, from the way it is built up it appears to be going up and down instead of connecting the shoulder to the spine
-the shape of the lats makes them look very bulgy in a very strange way.  even in very large men that region is always very tight, with the rhomboid and teres muscles bulging out.
-the triceps are too short making them look like they do not connect to the elbow
-the waist/ass is very high compared to the elbows, though theres no reason that a daemon would be at any disadvantage due to that just because humans dont have the same proportions

the piece is good, but someone as talented as you shouldnt be brought down by anatomical issues.  i wouldnt point them out if i didnt think you were damn good :P

whenever i find the time im going to give him his wing,change his arm, and make him lighter.

The angel needs to have feathered wings, or sumthin' like that

well, the angels real design has an angel wing and the big arm is switched to be the left one instead of the right

the anatomy was done before i knew about all the back muscles such as the teres and rhomboid muscles, but improvised? its got his trapezius, lats, his triceps, deltoids and biceps all there

yeah, they both look like deamons, but i dont think the palette is the issue, you could make him glowing white and hed still look like a deamon in both.  i like the colors in the purple one.  what did you base your anatomy on? it feels a bit 'improvised'

I agree about the angel, they both look rather demonic... but the work here is superb, the colours are just brilliant and the muscle definition is top notch.
