Oh, cool.  I just thought it was really cool to randomly find the same cow somewhere else, haha.

user
tomic (Level 11 Admiral) @ 1/6/2008 04:42

no coincidence, sketched the cow after i saw that graffiti some 6-7 years ago - back in the days when i only had internet-access at the university..

looking for something to pixel for buenzli in my sketches in 2003 i stumbled across it, not remembering the exact source (always thought i saw this in some polish graffiti collection)

should have mentioned this + added something like 'if anyone remembers the source, please tell me!' in the description.. dunno, busy flooding the pixeljoint-gallery in june 2006 with pieces my descriptions turned out a bit spartan

thanks for the pick.. description updated!

Here's something interesting I found: a cow strikingly similar to yours, in an "abandoned graffiti palace" in Gent, Belgium:

5th picture down.  Is this a well-known character, or just coincidence?

That looks like some nice milk chocolate.

user
Miumau0 (Level 6 Made) @ 2/19/2007 11:23

You have ur own style, keep it up. That milk looks pretty stpid, add wsome shading to it.

user
farinhabb (Level 1 Rookie) @ 2/5/2007 12:28
That crazy cow...Some antialising. Unfinished?

user
vanSchmidt (Level 1 Intern) @ 12/7/2006 11:58
I find it amusing how we like cows, especially this one. Though, one word: gross"  Perphaps another word: Luv the style, and colour....  though thats not just one word.

user
silent sniper (Level 1 Depressed) @ 11/11/2006 11:24
pshhhhhhhhh- thats a funny one

user
TheChaindog (Level 4 Murderer) @ 8/23/2006 04:53
I have to admit, I wasn't really impressed until I saw you did it with only 16 colors. I can safely say that I am now.

user
=^D Guy (Level 3 Enforcer) @ 8/22/2006 19:50
4-Bit chocolate? Look, there are four colors, not four bittage. But, anyways, nice work.

user
2dgamers (Level 1 Jukyu) @ 8/21/2006 19:16
LOVE this style and it's wonderful use of color and shading. Very, very, NICE! (Someone forgot to milk this cow, now she's leaking all over the place.)

user
annezca (Level 1 Rookie) @ 8/6/2006 21:51
lovely... i like how you did it.. it's good enough without anti aliasing it..

user
rabidbaboy (Level 4 Shichikyu) @ 8/2/2006 16:12

Made me feel kinda patriotic. +5 and a fav. Amazing technique.

user
cure (Level 11 Godfather) @ 6/26/2006 14:54
Personally that red is a little too saturated for my tastes.  And I agree with Faktablad, the different themes going on makes it look a little busy and random.

user
Aleiav (Level 2 Quiet One) @ 6/24/2006 17:23
This is really awesome looking. :) I love the lineart and design.

user
ZoSo (Level 3 Chief) @ 6/24/2006 05:21

user

I love the brush stroke style. This is great especially taking into account the 16 colours.

user

16 colours? Damn, that's amazing. I'm really digging the whole diagonal-square-shading thing going on here.

user
Gas 13 (Level 9 Boss) @ 6/21/2006 02:02
Amazing play of colors. Reminds me of sweet demoscene times somewhy :)

user
Faktablad (Level 6 SWAT) @ 6/20/2006 20:35
I agree that the shading looks like something from one of Cyclone's pieces.  I don't really like the shading on the body, though, it seems as though you used too much light blue.  Also the fact that there's a lot of different styles going on in the piece makes it look a bit like a collage, like everything isn't supposed to go together.  Otherwise, really fantastic stuff.

user
Blick (Level 6 Commander) @ 6/20/2006 20:03
The use of colors and dithering makes me think of a few of Cyclone's pieces. I love the idea, the colors, the character, the technique, just everything.

user
tamzqueen (Level 1 Rookie) @ 6/20/2006 19:54
Thats udderly the best graphic/pixel i've seen today! I love the way you've done sideway brush stroke styles on the cows cheeks
