Character select portrait for a remake of an AlienBreed/Gauntlet-style WWII game. There were no identifiable characters in the original but I felt like doing some. Used similar shading technique I used on Feral Beast portrait. Fairly happy with it.

So I chose to use many shades for these portraits... big deal.

I far prefer the 32 color version. Has many more of the colors I wanted in the piece.

For some reason his face reminds me a bit of Mel Gibson. Great work on the shading, this piece has a fantastic atmosphere about it.

Though guy ey? Very nice portrait. The use of dithering, or what to call it, is subtle and smart.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Limenu - yes his nose is supposed to look sorta broken, he's been in plenty of severe close combat fights as well as using firearms. Eghost - Glad ya mentioned that, I like reading WWII comics like DC's Sgt Rock and Marvel's Nick Fury stuff. Space2 - Yup it is 'Into The Eagle's Nest'. Am basing it on the CPC version (which I've had for nearly 20 years), it's very similar to the C64 version. The Spectrum version is the most different with a totally different level layout which I will be doing as an additional castle much later on.

Someone Broked his nose (or how many times ;p). Hairs look nice, but meaby u should add more light in that black place. Anyway this artwork is just great and i like it :3.
