There's always room for improvment, but you've really reached the edge to perfection :D

xanax (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/16/2008 10:01:41 AM
ooooooooooooo veryvery good:D

funcravers (Level 2 Hired Gun) at 1/12/2008 7:50:27 PM
It's freaking amazinG!!!!!!

countach (Level 2 Petty Officer) at 1/12/2008 12:48:18 PM
Wow this is impossible. I can't be watching it for real... Totally amazing!

Fenne (Level 1 Jukyu) at 1/9/2008 5:42:27 AM

I love the hair..
No, I love the whole picture!
Really amazing!

pixelli (Level 1 Rookie) at 1/6/2008 6:21:36 PM

I agree about the ears, andd, make the lips longer and thinner, dont go by stereotypes, the end of the mouth should reach the pupil... the lips here hardly make the iris :)

other than that wow. :)

mar4000 (Level 1 Depressed) at 12/28/2007 2:51:26 PM
The ear seems to be detatched
But the whole thing looks amazing

volcom (Level 1 Rookie) at 12/26/2007 4:48:03 PM
love it, i think this is way better than any other pixel?

Koch (Level 6 Made) at 11/28/2007 11:48:25 AM
Great water falls in the back.

FridayFrancis (Level 1 Seaman) at 11/7/2007 3:05:12 PM
I just had to say that this made a wonderful layout. I'll have to use one of your bases when I have time. And I can't imagine spending that long on something. (The longest I've gone is 10 hours; of course, that was without eating or anything, so... XD)

I've always loved your art, because you prove that Microsoft Paint is a perfectly usable program. (I get annoyed when people say otherwise.)

YungYankee (Level 1 Gangster) at 11/7/2007 11:22:08 AM

very well done.

dakael (Level 5 Killer Klown) at 11/7/2007 12:05:22 AM
Too artificial. Background looks nice, but faces look very wrong - especially mouth.

Morgan cook (Level 4 Deputy) at 7/28/2007 8:16:07 PM
The cigarette doesn't look like its been held. It looks weird. But wow. 6/5

Stan20 (Level 2 Flatfoot) at 7/15/2007 2:49:28 PM
Lot of detals, amazing hair, fantasy, fantastic XD

supermansucks (Level 1 Rookie) at 6/15/2007 3:58:49 PM
looks like a mage an elf and a human

ZeroFive1 (Level 5 Rokkyu) at 6/3/2007 4:10:22 PM
So? It's still pixel art, and it still rocks. I don't know why you're being so picky on the rocks and ranting about something that you could say in one sentence.

Breton Slivka (Level 2 Quiet One) at 5/15/2007 5:52:35 PM
I'm actually surprised that nobody has noticed or pointed out that it's primarily pillow shading in this image.

Frost (Level 3 Stalker) at 5/14/2007 8:52:16 AM
This picture could be so much better if it was anti aliased but i don't find any AA at all. Nice composition and shading though.

elend (Level 1 Rookie) at 5/14/2007 7:26:39 AM
I wouldn't be that harsh with that pic. It may look really cheezy, but I really like it. Straight, clean pixelart.

Breton Slivka (Level 2 Quiet One) at 5/13/2007 2:44:54 PM
Just for the record, I do appreciate pixel art. I don't appreciate this- If you're going to spend that much time and effort on a drawing, get the anatomy right first, and pick a subject that isn't so twee and dull. If you don't know how to draw something like say, landscapes, or rocky crags (Jaedon doesn't), then find some reference images! don't just make it up. I appreciate that it looks impressive to people that are impressed with enormous amounts of pointless detail, but pixel art should be art first, "pixel art" second. As a work of art, this is really trashy. If it were a proper painting, it would probably sell very quickly on ebay.

farvardin (Level 1 Rookie) at 4/30/2007 12:13:46 AM
It's very nicely done and incredibly detailled, but it's a pity the guy on the right, with cigarette and fedora, really looks out of place. Otherwise, congratulation for this huge work.

RockinArtistShotgunGirl (Level 1 Jukyu) at 4/24/2007 10:12:24 PM

1) the people are pretty ugly, but they are realistic, gotta give ya props fer that!

2) nice animating, but there's not alot.

all in all, i like it.

<((___(CRAYOLA)___(()  <(KEEP IT REELS, YO!)

kakikukeko (Level 5 Detective) at 4/1/2007 4:35:59 AM
I'm not too fond of the style, but I must admit that it is really an amazing job, and that  except for the eyes of the guy on the right, being a bit too close, I have no negative crits for this amazing piece.. very good job
(the ears could be better though.. )

tenkabuto (Level 1 Jukyu) at 3/20/2007 10:57:23 AM
Amazing work. O.O

Scotteh (Level 1 Jukyu) at 12/15/2006 8:03:52 AM

breton obviously doesnt appreciate pixel art

Breton Slivka (Level 2 Quiet One) at 11/12/2006 2:48:22 PM
boring.

Equinoxx (Level 3 Stalker) at 11/3/2006 11:21:49 AM
georgeous

fourzerotwo (Level 1 Rookie) at 9/20/2006 3:55:43 PM
Simply an amazing piece of work!

Xirkur (Level 1 Private) at 9/17/2006 4:33:21 PM

Omg... that is amazing... I'm literally speechless.  I wish I had some advice but I have no room ro speak... so this one is a faviorite.

toptotty (Level 1 Thug) at 9/17/2006 1:48:26 PM
What an amazing picture.  i love it 100 out of 10!  toptotty

Faktablad (Level 6 SWAT) at 9/2/2006 10:36:44 AM
Something about the perspective of the farthest right guy and his hat makes his face appear a bit flat.  Nice use of the curve tool in MS Paint, haha.  Dithering is smooth as.

Llama (Level 3 Hatchikyu) at 9/2/2006 10:31:01 AM

Elychan (Level 1 Rookie) at 9/1/2006 5:36:19 PM

I don't have words ..... wonderful O_O ...

Aleiav (Level 2 Quiet One) at 9/1/2006 1:30:00 PM
Tomster, this isn't oekaki. Oekaki doesn't incorporate dither techniques and often uses rhuedementary shading techniques. You avatar is more oekaki than this piece. You should think before you speak, or post, rather.

tomster 785 (Level 1 Rookie) at 9/1/2006 4:04:37 AM
so this is oakeui or however you spell it

Aleiav (Level 2 Quiet One) at 8/31/2006 11:26:22 PM

maybe a more 3D model may help?

Maybe these may help?

raynoa (Level 4 Team Leader) at 8/31/2006 9:59:28 PM
massive! my favorite parts here - hair, because it requires a lot of work, and decorations.

Jaeden (Level 1 Intern) at 8/31/2006 9:15:01 PM

1) the rocky background was semi rushed, but I was afraid if i detailed dithered it it would be too sharp against the forground. I may edit this after your comments.

2) The ear, (on kiera specifically) pissed me off to no extent. I think i drew it completely wrong. I gave up after a while. I like tyes ear, but not kieras, If anyone has better advice then "I dont like it" I would appreciate it ^_^ Its easier to improve when someone can actually provide a useful critique with a method or reference for improvement XD

3) I didnt animated anything but the waterfall because if I animated the grass, people would bitch that the hair on the characters wasnt animated, and it escalates from there. The way I saw it, is water can run, without wind blowing. I liked the look, and found it calming and that it helped to even out the image, This will not change.

4) I may add more lighting to the edges of their cheekbones after the comments, Thank you -- Space2 --  for your critique.

5) Thank you all for the advice, I will apply it toward my next projects.

zAk (Level 2 Quiet One) at 8/31/2006 6:42:32 PM
that is true - the mountains do require some work - but the face (including the ear) is really nice. Here that ear is mainly bugging me. Also there areno creepy guys who could easily be females without the face hair (sorry for language) :p... zAk

ryumaru (Level 3 Private Eye) at 8/31/2006 1:20:38 PM
i dissagree, i believe that this piece is better than " travelling the lands" in both technical skill and visual interest. also as far as i can tell this one doesnt have copy and pasted mountains :P

zAk (Level 2 Quiet One) at 8/31/2006 10:48:19 AM
Though everyone will hate me - i dont think this is the best piece ever - your travelling the lands is so much better! Im not going to write any more because i cant comment on pieces i dont like when their authors skills are a light year better than mine!! If id rate pieces id give this one 5/5 - but no favs.. i dont like huge pieces... zAk

Aleiav (Level 2 Quiet One) at 8/31/2006 10:38:37 AM

Excellent and impressive work. My only qualm with it is the girl's ear. for some reason it looks flat and 2 dimensional in contrast with everything else. Ears seem to be difficult for you in many aspects, especially elf ears. Is it the lack of a 3D model for elf ears?

Anway, this piece is very well done and impressive. I'm always impressed by you skin shading and dithering.

Craddik (Level 3 Sergeant) at 8/31/2006 10:19:43 AM
this is probably the best piece i have ever seen 5/5

E-Magination (Level 3 Sniper) at 8/31/2006 9:34:46 AM
6*. Best pixel piece ever.

Da_Masta (Level 1 Rookie) at 8/31/2006 4:58:23 AM
This one's so awesomeley awesome! It's big, it's cororful and it's really realistic.Well, it's sorta fantsy, so not really, but it looks realistic.

Elk (Level 1 Depressed) at 8/31/2006 2:56:41 AM

Jaeden you are so godly at pixeling hairs :(

Bob_Jones (Level 2 Peon) at 8/30/2006 1:51:10 PM
The characters are amazing, good job; my only crit is that the rocks in the background look sloppy and quickly drawn

Flameruler13 (Level 6 Cannibal) at 8/30/2006 12:59:24 PM
just like all your work-perfect! but i dont like when only part of an image is animated, its like the are standing perfectly still, and there is no wind in the trees or anything-but the water is running-it would look just as good not animated

7sons (Level 1 Rookie) at 8/30/2006 12:44:48 PM

gut gemachter Kitsch...

space2 (Level 2 Flatfoot) at 8/30/2006 12:16:13 PM
Very niceimage, you had a lot of work on it.
A few crits: the hand of the guy in the right side seems a bit odd... but it might be only me
The hair of the girl is too "flat" I would add some lighting, more  shading

ryumaru (Level 3 Private Eye) at 8/30/2006 12:06:07 PM

very, very nice. the only thing i have an issue with is how you shaded the guy on the right's jacket or whatever.

your male drawings have improved greatly from some of your older pieces.

also, dont be afraid to do some things with hard edged highlights, especially on noses and cheekbones. right now all light on the faces is evenly blended.

lunarknight (Level 2 Quiet One) at 8/30/2006 11:57:20 AM
Wow, that's beautiful. Awesome job on that guys beard as well. Fav'd.

foss (Level 1 Rookie) at 8/30/2006 11:48:57 AM
very high quality work!  job don

Huggkruka (Level 1 Rookie) at 8/30/2006 7:59:25 AM
That's insane. I mean, it wont even fit in the window!

Dark Rogue (Level 5 Rokkyu) at 8/30/2006 7:02:30 AM
Right when I saw the preview pic, I knew who it was from. Instant 6/6 + fav.

AndyOaks (Level 1 Rookie) at 8/30/2006 6:46:34 AM
This is very nicely.
86 colours is pushing the limit and I`d love to see some of the colours bouncing off other surfaces, such as the hair picking up the cloth colours, to improve the connectivity of all the elements.

Fantastic piece of work. One of my fav's so far!

ManningKrull (Level 6 Hitman) at 8/30/2006 2:59:31 AM
Wow, this is stunning! I'm completely in awe of the border, both the design and execution. I think the intense realism of the faces is maybe a little bit at odds with the less realistic hair, but the entire piece is really amazing.

Dra_chan (Level 8 Shodan) at 8/30/2006 1:17:47 AM
OMFG
instant +7 and fav

maloART (Level 5 Serial Killer) at 8/30/2006 1:00:40 AM

Wow ... another fantastic art piece you made Jaeden ! I see no flaws in there ! Bravo !

+fav

miscdude (Level 1 Private) at 8/30/2006 12:02:57 AM
wow...that is amazing.....the one thing i dont like is how make-up-ey they look.....

ZoSo (Level 3 Chief) at 8/29/2006 10:46:54 PM
