The palette was taken from this amazing piece. I tried to mimic umbohr's painterly style, but force of habit took over and I didn't stick to it. Other than that, this was a shameless ripoff of Escher's Hand with Reflecting Sphere.

I've been doing a lot of studies lately of my favourite artists (mostly as a private exercise). This challenge gives me an excuse to study umbohr's style a little, draw something interesting, and even finish a piece. It's a nice many birds, one stone situation.

Also I just want to say I've been on PJ for roughly a year now and everyone's been very welcoming, but especially umbohr. So may this be a little tribute to him.

@Squirrelsquid I tried putting in a couple of very distorted goats, but I only managed to make them look rather normal. OTZ I tried.

Cool work. The way you were able to condense the painting to a low pixel form is so cool. How did you approach this, especially with the way you maintain the spheres curvature? I bet having to work with all those limited pixels was hard!
