Just a fictional beetle I made up, while I was bored at work. Apparently, the body needs work. Any one have any tips as to what should be changed to fit it's head?

Wow! thats hot :P some of the ppl that commented do have a point though... well done! :D (Are you going to do something about the comments? I mean improve it?)
Fool, I believe it can pull the head inside like a turtle :)
I don't know what exactly isn't right with him. It looks like a lot of effort but something makes him unfinished. I can't say exactly what is that but that's what I feel.
Man, that awesome=) Body seeams a bit weak in design - it's leaves his head unprotected sort of. Unless he has no enemies in his world (yeah, right..=) Great work!=)
Awesome color choices and just the right size. Other than the head has a rhino look, it looks like a real beetle. My only crit is the green areas, especially where the head meets the body. Seems disconnected there. Could be my kick-ass perfectly calibrated monitor tho :p
LOLZ! I thought I was the only one that makes his pixels in 'spare time' at work. :D The image is great. Only the green patches on the back and in the dark areas kinda seem to jump forward, they don't really add to the 'there-ness' of the piece.
The main thing that really bothers me about this is the single color ramp paired with how busy this is, makes some parts hard to read. Each section on its own is really nice to look at, but together it all either blends together or just doesn't click for me, a little variance on colors for certain body parts could help that. Also his head seems like its floating there.
