Got bored and played pong, then made pong. This is based on the second mass produced arcade machine ever. Its pretty accurate though some smaller details were left out due to pixels and things.

oh yeah i've seen all the nintendo documentrys and junk like that. the older companies were really wicked. pity not many of them could keep up. I still say pong is the greatest game.
Pong sucked. I got in to videogaming right around when Nintendo started and around when Pac-Man was created. I'm one of those people who actually owns a Nintendo deck of cards (Nintendo started as a card company) and a couple game and watches. Both which are pretty rare today. If Gunpei Yokoi hadn't created the game and watche's, gaming would n't have been anything like it is today. He created what is known as the d-pad.
HAHAH leisure suit larry amuses me greatly. It had some great pixelart too if you looked passed the adult themes . I have to say the i prefer the older arcade games to these new fandangled ones
Being old means we can appreciate how far games have come. Tastes that much sweeter to play Dead or Alive with all the realistic jiggling when our first jiggling was that crappy Leiure Suit Larry game.
Found some tasty links for arcade fans. Street Fighter Machine: [link] mm curvatous Tapper: [link] And I do believe 'the karate game' you were talking about was Karate Champ or something similar [link] First arcade video game ever: [link]
K, I thought of another old cabinet like that... the karate game where you had two joysticks. I remember being too small to even see the screen without a boost when 'Tapper' and the karate game were there. It wasn't until 1942 came out that I could actually see the damn screen.
Never played the original SF, but I sure remember when SF2 came out. We all lined up to play that one.
the keller: Pong does rule doesn't it. Sedge: Its probably the imitation wood the makes it look so retro :D Also didn't street fighter have a pretty retro cabinet when it first came out? my friend is resurecting an old sf arcade cabinet and me thinks its retro. maybe I'll make the sf cabinet next...
The green does have a good retro feel. That cabinet is super old looking... I think the only game I've ever seen that looked like that was 'Beer Tapper' or 'Rootbeer Tapper'.
If you want a better pic you could google atari arcade pong. Also i'm sure the display was meant to be b&w but the tv they used [in the machine i saw] had real bad green colour bleed. Also green seems much more retro :P
Wow, actually never seen an upright version of pong. THe only versions I've see were tabletop design and they were just black and white. I see your cabinet has green... ooooh.

Love the woodwork though.
