At least make a background that's less hard on the eyes.  I'd reccomend black.  Besides the background, I like the idea and excecution of it, so I'm going to add it to my faves list.

Heehee, I feel the same way about dithering (that is, whenever I can work up the courage/patience  to dither in the first place... which is almost never ).  The effort has definitely given you great results here, though!

Perhaps the best example of improvement. the diferences in both pieces is... truly remarkable

@Tomic: Yeah, the horns were tough to pixel to make them look good in terms of detail. Some times good pixel technique means losing natural quality of real life pixels, and makes them too smooth. That, or I just didn't know how to approach Ram horns from a pixel point of view, heh.
@iLKke: Yeah, it's a goatee beard. Kinda' like a two colored black and white head dress styled beard, but strapped to the skull's chin by small wires which go through those little holes in our bones which allow veins, arteries, capularies, and whatnot pass through. Wasn't too sure about the size limitations, or whether it had to be extremely close to the originals as well, but the directions didn't specify, so this is what was roughly spawned...
references: used this SKULL as a basic know how of how some things are aligned in the skull, and this RAM skull, for the horns...I google image searched a poop load for many images, but those two drew the most inspiration and reference I think.

@Feron: yeah, I suck at previews, hah ha...
