A bit slow, and a little more work on it can make it better (the outline switch off is not looks good)

I like the idea of the animation but it'd be nice to see a transparent bg and to speed up the animation a little bit.

It seems to jump when the cross beams move downwards as you join the two blocks. Can I suggest maybe fading out the black outline rather than switching it off...

Other than that, this is pretty sweet
