This is awesome!!and blueleds I guess its like humans and monkey's,The rider is a more advanced kind of rat.

Thanks very much for the comments :)homosapien: I just saw your tremendous tribesman for the first time and you have a better knowledge-base and pixel skills then me (so envy from me) . Thanks for the nice words :) A collab sounds like fun too, I've got two outstanding ones I'm looking forward to (Fool being one of them). I definitely have a very long and dirty list of people I admire and who's work I disect and study (and the two people you mention are both on there).
blueleds: This was originally a rat riding a boar for the boar challenge last year, but I exchanged the boar with something I thought maybe more in his realm.

How come the rat is riding another rat, isnt that demeaning to the other rat to be on all fours when the rider suggests they are a clearly race of biped-like creatures (what with the staff and book in his hands). Maybe it's some kind of punishment, like the shaman cursed him to be his servant/riding beast. Or maybe its like how Goofy was a dog and had Pluto as a pet, who was also a dog, so it's a world of both human-like rats and non-human animal rats. I demand some kind of backstory to accompany this image to quell my wandering mind.

Oh no, I questioned if this true or not but I honestly think you're in my top five favorite pixel artist. And you know what? (don't nobody this- You and I) you're number 3. Its out, there. By the way miscugh and Fool put you in third. So take it up with them or something

Saw the preview and said ... "That's Buloght!!" and then fainted!Good to see more of your work!
Only 2 problems (and they're minor)
1) the shadow on the bottom feels very stark ... this is just minor, but it pulls my eye to it
2) the outer edge of the book isn't AA'd like the rest of the image
Other than that, another great piece ... one day you will work with me on a project!!!!
