very cool! only thing I don't like is the underbelly, how it connect to the wing and the back left, not very seamless, kind of confusing. otherwise I love it.

All it is is just a stick with wings, and those MS paint default colors in the background. Honestly im very disappointed. You have to put an honest effort fourth, and thats something it didn't have, This is some of the best pixelart I have seen from you Dex. I love how the wings have that feathery look, and the shading is very nice. Cant wait to see more from you :D

Hey your stuff reminds me of The B.O.B! Cool clouds, although I think the textures might be competing a little for attention...sort of makes the bird not stand out as much.

wow! the toppish sorta bit reminds me of B.O.B :) but one minor criticism, I noticed the light is hitting it's neck horizontally, but the light is hitting its top lips vertically, maybe thats one thing you could sort out. but other than that its great :)

I don't think so.In the Pixelation forums, someone mentioned a program named Pixelation Zoom, you could search it there.
Otherwise, I think you have to downgrade.

Defyn, if you're using Firefox 3.0, itr automatically antialiases images when you zoom.

Is that a... bird? Fine, it might be, but i ask if it is realy a pixel-art piece? Zoomed it looks as it is antialiased by some filter or something other. But i think it looks extremely good;)

Very nice. I agree that the grass doesn't look particularly good, but overall it's nice. I don't see any pillowshading either.Actually, I think the itty-bitty flower in the bottom left is pillow shaded. It's pretty trivial though.

no, shawn is right, the overall shape of the bird and shading is awkward and the grass shading makes no distinction between foreground and background. it's also pillowshaded.shapes are blobby and lose detail, which is why it looks a bit awkward.
all the colors seem to be set to supersaturate.
sorry if it sounds a little harsh, the pixel tech itself is nice though.

How's the grass supposed to be? Like there's a carnival in it? It wasn't meant to be the focus of the piece, anyway, so I really don't get your reasoning. There were many different tries of the texturing, and I ref'd some palettes of some pixel arts here on the site, so I dunno, but it's not that big of a deal if you don't like it. You probably never would anyway ^^

The effort is nice but I still don't like it. The feather texturing is just awkward to me and the palette seems very... I DUNNO. Something about the palettes just really off for me. The grass is just boring and plain.

Its well pixeled and its a very nice piece, but the palette is bugging me, it goes far too dark on the bird, yet nowhere else. It kind of makes the fur look like it isn't fur if you catch my drift.
