I like the jump-out-and-grab-you blue and hot pink, i'm glad you do too, I'm sure many don't.
I'm going to update this again... I think i'm going to redraw the hair and maaaybe the hands and sword on the right, and reshape the snake body part once again along with touchig up the eyes
Thanks for the critique'n A.B. and thanks for the comments everybody!
I think this is my favorite! What made you choose these colors?
More specially for me the effect with hands is because how they intersect at area with the same pink/blue color (continuity of hand broken). So it's hard to tell from the start where right hand and where is left at this resolution. It needs additional second to recognise them. Hope I'm talking clear.
Randomm: i was reminded of the fire fiend from FF also when i made the swords, and i've had a hell of a time trying to make her look like she transitions into snake, i guess i was lazy and just put her arms over it to avoid having to draw it. I think the arms needs a touch up too from what smoke said, and A.B. reaffirms that as well. i'll give this chick a makeover and reupload it soon, thanks guys!!
and YES i have been trying to stick to the NES palette just for kicks, but i think from now on i'll be mixing my own colors because i'm tired of copy/pasting...
cool, it reminds me a lot of the fiend of fire (kara/maralith) from the first final fantasy. that would be some good reference if you didn't use it already.
I like the colour choices. I think you should make the left sword more slim like the right, or vise versa, and maybe adjust the pose so that her body flows into the snake parts, right now it diesn't look like she'd be able to bend into that position. the hair looks good when this is enlarged, which works because it looks like it is NES style so I'm assuming it'd be enlarged anyway.
cool stuff!
maybe add a black shadow over her left arm for more clarity?
Its great!
It's not instantly too clear what's happening with hands and swords. But otherwise it's a good picture and colors are tasty. Is it NES palette?
Another awesome one where I love the colors. Great job.
