Weekly Challenge: April Fool's Gallery III
Metaru - I plan on working on it some more, just not at this moment. Need to let it breathe for a bit before I come back to it. I might possibly redo it completely in my own style. Either way this is definitely not the final version.
considering the amount of time fool usually takes on each pice(we're talking about weeks, at least), you did well. the background specially captured fool's vibe, as i said on the piece.
this totally calls for more work, despiet the challenge. go ahead, i doubt someone would care if you keep working on this.

Honestly, I think I just bit off more than I could chew. Once I went back and attempted to fix the background (take out most of the dithering, attempt to fix the colors etc.) the forground elements really suffered. And then I ran out of time... :P. Basically the more I messed with it the worse it got... and now I'm sick of looking at it so I probably won't be fixing anything any time soon. However, the critiques are appreciated.
Basically one cannot come close to truely imitating Fool's style... and they sure as hell can't do it in a week. Atleast I can't... :D
I agree the style similarity is there. I like the mushrooms the most (8D
very recognizeable :D as mentioned, the techique is lacking, but, I rly have to agree with Jal! Kudos!
You deserve kudos for your entry. You got the essense pretty well. The technique is lacking but really who could match the original.
The good AND the bad is that you have not made a fool of yourself 
I could definitely tell that it was fool you were trying to imitate, even from the preview, but the lack of detail and shading on parts, especially the lack of highlights goves it away just as quickly. Its still pretty good though
It is a bit foolesque but it lacks detail, like you could've added texture to the musrooms and more colour in general etc. Good job, much better than my attempt at fool last year haha
I recognised the Fool in it immediately. You did manage to capture several elements of his style; good job. Also, I lurve the bg and general image, though I think you could have improved the meshing a bit by making the little guys faerieish (pointy ears or smth).
I thought it might have been fools when the picture came up

Very cool attempt at the imitation:) The only thing is that the harsh black stick figures could do with a little softening.
