Most Likely, the heroes are a bit more difficult to do so far becuase I haven't fully imagined the story yet, though i have a rough idea.
I think I might do the in-battle heroe sprites differently than in FF though, but i like the overworld style quite a bit. I'll have to do the environments as well.
... These are called OVerworld sprites. There are those and the In-Battle ones.
BTW, are you going to create FF styled heroes too?
*gaaaaasp* these are aawesome!!! They look way, WAY more true NESish than mine do! I like the preview also, for people like me that recognize the overworld style as well =]. Man this makes my day for sure!
I'm guessing that preview image is the "small" version of the sprites? How they looked in-game or something? But yeah ... same for me where I almost didn't click through
