I saw some Final Fantasy sprites on here recently, and having just beaten the first game, I decided to make this chalange in a Final Fantasy setting.

 

Updated. More FFish after looking at and getting placement correction from the game screen. Also background. Now I don't know how NESish it is... but it is only 2 colors while ingame it's 3 so... Also I know the charecters can have 3 colors and the boss 4 but I can't pick any others that work.

It's supposed to be x/x HP. Sorry for the confusion. And I just went with double pixels for no particular reason. I may update it. Probably not though, as I have 6 versions I allready went through.

I agree with Mr Mathias, is there a specific design point that I'm missing seeing as I haven't played the game? Cause to me it probs be better as one frame.

Hehe, cool concept. Don't like the mixed pixel resolutions (moai's pixels bigger than characters' pixels, etc.)

Why are the characters and moai in different panels?

tha moai could use some more chin, so it would look more like a moai...

and a background for that battle scene would totally boost the mood.

Maaan that moai looks pretty menacing. You could probably fit a neck or more of the back of the head if you shifted abit. Love the FF setup!!
