What a suitable game over screen. There's no way a slime could make that jump.
Just try to add some unnecessary details, such as mushrooms or bats. Or some necessary (sprite, coins, opponents) ;)

I like the background of the title screen, but the rest...hm...There's nothing special about it. You could have added a sprite or some opponents.
