This is incredible, now I want this Bosch game to be real
i would play the living hell out of this. i also am curious as to whether or not you arted for a real game i can acquire and play
Wow! That's a great work. I would buy this game.
The contrast and the pallette are chocolate for my eyes.
oh wait... found a huge limiting factor: there are only 4 colors. there is no alpha. you just have to choose one of the colors to sacrifice to alpha in characters when programming. seriously though someone who's experienced with gbdk could help a lot
why can't it be a game? anyone want to get together with me, gbdk, and a tile editor and stop wishing?
this looks amazing! inspired me to begin work on my own rpg gameboy styled game.. borrowed your colour pallette :) I'm seriously blown away by this!
Your work is so motivating but more important, captivating :)
There's a special place in my heart for 1bit and/or 4bit art, and this just hits it out of the park.
I wish the real gameboy devs back in the day had done anything remotely this good. (Maybe they have and I'm unaware).
With art like this, the good old Gameboy could have stayed young for many more years, I'd say.
lol I had so much fun pasting this into paint and just swapping colors to see the changes. Incredible stuff man, epic job.
It makes me sad that this isn't a real game. Go make it!
You and all who worked on this have skills. Keep up the awesome work and I hope to see you in the new contest.
Wow!!! So many details, cant wait for the GBA version, jeje. Amazing job!
Really well done, hard to say anything negative or CC :/ Excellent.
I saw this in the forum. I was really impressed by the concept, particularly. Nice work, Jalonso! I particularly like the rat.
Am NOT surprised by this winning first place. Fantastic interpretation of Bosch.
When GB stroke my country was still actualy behind Iron curtain so I dont know: are there actually any existing games for GB with this level of graphic awesomness ?
(or would it be even possible, considering memory, sprite and cartridge limitations etc ?)
I... would... friggin'... play... this... till... the... bitter... end...
Give!!!
realy nice indeed, realy loved the style and exceptional detailing, 5!
Absolutely beautiful. 4 colors and 160x144 just doesn't get much better than this.
Oh, I see
Well, this is cool with me. I actually made a real tileset to work with and honestly the paintings pretty much tell you what is needed and all characters are there with many to spare. I could have made 20 screens, one for each year.
TBH, this was weirdly easy because the ref material did all the thinking for me, the paintings already DO look like RPGs.
I can't program anything but will help you make such a game...especially if its a small mini quest.
* Thx all. With special thanks to Adarias for the great compliment.

That's a big 10-4. Too bad I'm afraid to tell him I wanna code it/work with this dude, hehe...
Quote Flarfy again: "I smell win!"
That smell has also penerated my window, the art is freaking awesome!
That looks so extremely nice!
That you can make it this detailed with only 4 colors, lovely!
nice
