Because you called this an 'exercise' : a lot of your lengths and volumes are totally trucked. the left leg is way too short compared to the right, while the left arm is way too long. The pushed-back look is a popular one but it's so highly exaggerated here that he'd need to break a few bones and put his chin inside his own throat, not to mention fall over backwards. How did you construct this? Isometric is so much more than just drawing a character from the side. It's a very delicate (and easy to break) system.
other than that, the pixelling quality is absolutely fantastic :D

Personally, I'm not so sure I like the pose; it seems a bit too feminine for a guy with a giant sword. It is still good pixeling though.
Nice style. I like the cyan trim on his outfit and all the little details. The way you shaded the sword is also quite excellent.

Friggin awesome. I like the iso tiles beneath him, think it looks neat. Some people are so critical ere, which can e a good thing really, it just surprises me, because this site has more talent than most art related sites.

The colors used and the rest of the details are well done, in terms of character design and style, looks nice. Something in the left eye confuses me... does he has his left eye closed or did he lost that in a fight? haha, just had to point that out man!
