Well, this time inspiration came from the song "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal. One can make the connection from the picture to the inspiration with relative ease.

Pretty happy with it. I worry that it may not read as "rose" rather than "flower", but there are like a million different roses, so I couldn't find a really static reference on Google. This idea actually began with me doodling while listening to the song, and I tried to draw a rose and I really liked how it turned out. I may scan that in and submit an alternate rose.

The stem bugs me a tiny bit, but I couldn't find a great method for it without banding or looking too boring in relation to the flower. I think this gives a good level of detail without over-doing it.

Name is there because, as title suggests, its a new avatar for me.
