Inspired by the same song as the last piece, "Kiss From A Rose" by Seal. The first line goes "There used to be a graying tower alone on the sea," and that line kinda made this image spring to my mind, of waves crashing against a black obelisk rising from the water, lit from beg\hind the obelisk, in a stormy sea. Three days later, I have this to show for it.
I am satisfied. Very satisfied. Actually, I don't think I've been this proud of a piece since the mayan statue in 2006, the first piece I submitted here. Naturally, I am still open to crits, but I suspect that they may not make it into the piece. Please say them still, I can incorporate the advice in fuure pieces.
This is a link to the original sharpie drawing I did that was converted into pixel-art. http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b330/maxdxam/Picture001.jpg

22 Colors. Obelisk and light rays turned out way better than I expected, sky is bugging me still. I know there are two relatively similar light blues, but I couldn't find a perfect median color, so take the two. |
Thank you ever so much :) I'm glad I the filmgrain effect came through well.
