Due to the criteria of the challenge I used a bright color to represent the reflection of the clouds, and gray to represent the lands, just to make them distinguishable.

Very nice, I like the simplicity. I do have a question though. It makes sense why the white cloud casts makes the water brighter with it's reflection, but the darker clouds would just make it darker, wouldn't it? Swapping out the sparsely used grey on the island would allow you to add a dark blue for those cloud shadows and still fit the challenge criteria.
