I like the soft colors and animation, nice job!
Something in the colors is really appealing to me.
Most of the curves are super-smooth, especially on the hair and clothes, but the staff's end is kinda wonky. Also the wings have some serious banding on them, though it's concealed a bit by the blue outline.
Overall though I like it quite a bit. Nice work, I bet the friend loved it.
Reminds me of Japanese artists style. Not really a fan but i'ts very well done. I like it!
In my IMO you could have increased the saturation a little bit more, but I guess it works that way too.

Beautiful piece. Even though the character is just sitting yet it shows lots of emotions to me, maybe it's because of the palette.
