This is my first pixel art ever ! It is a forum avatar of Charlie Chaplin. I made it with 4 colors and used some techniques I read about in the forums tutorials (the checker board pattern).

For your first pixel art ever, not bad at all. You did a nice job with your choice of colors, and overall it looks pretty solid. THere are a few areas where it could stand to be improved, though - those clusters of black standing out into the middle of the jacket are a little messy close-up, and the sharp right angle of shadow on his left shoulder is somewhat jarring. Overall, though, nice work, and I look forward to seeing more from you.
