Re: colors, I'm not sure what's going on with the counters. I set out with predefined palettes in all of my pieces, but for some reason every one of them shows up as having more colors than ASEPRITE displays by a fairly wide margin. Could be the program I'm using still needs some adjustments; it is still in beta after all. The six colors I had in the palette are: white, middling blue, light blue, grey, slightly lighter grey, and black (there's a one-pixel border around the image).
Re: image contents, it wasn't actually supposed to be anything at first. I designed it as a backdrop for my channel over on YouTube, so I started putting lines down as a basic pattern. Then, after deciding it looked a bit empty, I pulled out a tileset from a game I've been working on and started adding little elements - hence the clouds and the tower. Near as I can tell, it's just a very abstract depiction of some kind of ruin sticking out of a desert, most likely a salt flat given the reflections of the sky. The breaks in the white ground and sparsely placed pixel patterning are supposed to give off the impression of a heat haze and a slightly reflective surface, though how effective that is, I can't really judge for myself.
Hm. Color counter says you have 9 but it doesn't even look like you have 5. Weird...
This image looks a little confusing. I can't tell what I'm looking at. All I can tell is that there are clouds and a brown thing in the middle of what appears to be the sky.
Mind clarifying what's what?
Thanks. I sort of thought the same thing about the tower, especially from a distance.
