Design a landscape of a fantasy world; it should be unlike anything found on Earth.
Please do not include creatures, characters or buildings in the image. Your entry should just showcase the environment.
Have a look at these images from the gallery for inspiration. Also, check out this and other works from Roger Dean.

The challenge thread will have all the challenge updates. The thread is also a great place to post your WIPs.
Excellent challenge, I've been needing to work on my abilities in scenery pretty badly.
ah yes, Roger Dean! He has done some very cool album art for yes, one of my favorite bands.

Not really pleased with the no building or creatures, but other than that, I really like this challenge ;)
I think I'll enter if I have time.
I'm entering... but the restriction is limited to non-sentient life and geological formations apparently, both of which are apparent on Earth, making the phrase "unlike anything found on Earth" kind of useless. It doesn't even really make sense... the first gallery image is some kind of organic ooze, which is probably alive, which correlates to numerous things on Earth (slime molds) and the second is a blue sky with tan sand and red rocks that appear wind damaged. In my opinion, the inspirational references don't even fit in with the contest. Just bothers me, seems poorly thought out.
hrhr, i like it, size is truely, a bit smal…
Can i put in plants? (Which will not be the same as on Earth)
Dhr. Bosch - I'd rather no buildings/architectural structures. I think it would be beyond the scope of this challenge; what I wanted to see from this challenge was a natural landscape from an otherworldly setting. Note the examples I've shown.
So, I guess to answer your question - No architecture. I'll update the article. Thanks for the comment.
Zenobia - Absolutely.
Okay this is awesome. I need to do this.
Love Roger Dean too.
Don't worry about daylight savings time, the challenge will always finish when the counter reaches 0.
