However, they could not cut people, so the use of swords or axes was strictly forbidden. Because of that, they only used bashing weapons. Apparently, they were not allowed to chop someone's head off but it was totally ok to smash the skull of their foes. See why they can only use maces in certain videogames? It's not without a reason.
