Since I was already messing with it though, I did try to tone down the antialias, mostly on the text. Not much different though.

The third colour between the lightest shade of brown and the darkest is pretty much wasted. Oh, and if you have several icons, you should probably group them into one image instead of submitting one at a time. Then they can be viewed all at once :)

I love the sharp folds on the orange arm, and the folds on the pointy segments of the headgear. I mean, it's all stunning, but those are the parts I really like. Please don't shoot me. There seems to be a teensy bit of a jaggy on his orange-slippered foot? On the highlighted side, the steps are quite visible once you've seen them. But the rest of the work is so beautifully blended in all the right places, that's only the merest pick of a nit. Amazing!

Definitely something I need to work on; better AA and less of it! Spartan: The banner does seem a little empty, the design I originally planned called for having 'diet' in the corner of the banner, but once I reached that point it just looked too odd, so I moved it down to above 'Fix'. Sh, don't tell, filling space is another weak point. Thanks for your comment :) Adam: It does seem quite warm. I'm very glad I switched from black shot to the dark red for the background. Theguy: to be fair, gradients are sometimes featured in soda can and other beverage label designs, so for the challenge it would not be completely unheard of, but I don't think it would fit with this entry. Is there something I'm not getting? All I can think is that it might be a very thick mustache, but I would think a couple shadows to define the hairs or a stray hair or two at least would help. Or maybe it's not a mustache, maybe I just can't read it properly.
