Nah rather prove everyone wrong Pixel-Janz.  Create another piece, you say it takes about 10 hours.  So rather get a theme from someone and make another piece and this time include the WIP.  That way you'll prove all the critics wrong and we'll admire the work.  Don't just copy and paste from this work though, make an entirely different piece.

How does that sound?

This image and his other image are exactly the same except cut and mirrored:

I tried it out in Paint Shop Pro.  Try it out yourselves.  Save both images to the harddrive, open them in an imaging program, mirror this one and see the results.

Hmm I can't seem to edit my previous post.  Just to clarify what I'm writing about.  I'm talking about the two images he posted.  "Beautiful world, isn't it?" and "Beautiful view, isn't it?"

Strangely enough, this image and the other image submitted has the same horizon but flipped.  The other image has the same cloud on the right side as this image has on the left side, except flipped of course.  Plus look at the two little hills on this image and then the other one.  The other image just has the mountain with the building cut off, whereas this image has the bottom part of the image cut off.

It almost looks as if this may have been taken from some kind of 3D type program?  I can't say that for sure of course.  But the two images do look the same and are flipped.

This is pretty much insane.  I don't comment all that much but this is really amazing.  Well done!

Hi BlackDragon.

I'm here almost every day and I started working on an isometric piece after I finished this tower, but unfortunately I've been so busy with work that I haven't gotten around to it.

But just because you show interest I'll get back to that.  :)

Thanks for stopping by.  It gives one the courage to go on.

I once tried to make little cards and they came out alright, but yours look much crisper and nicer.  Plus your background and the whole setup looks great!  The character faces are small but they show emotions and are detailed.  It's very well thought out in general.

Very impressive!

5 out of 5 from me plus faved.

Also it's ripped.  Or at least someone else's image that's been changed a bit:

Chelsea, pixel art is about making your own art.  You'll feel much better once you've created something yourself.

Haha even my girlfriend asked me why the picture is so small.  It's an avatar so it's meant to be small.  Will make a bigger work of it sometime in the future.

And thanks very much BlackDragon.  I'll pm you if I need any help with my next work.

This is beautiful.  It's as if I find myself in another world when I look at it.

Thanks Citrusponge, I wrote a message at that link you gave.

And Eugeniu, I think that maybe you should have a look at what is actually said here before writing comments like "wtf" and "ALL CAPITAL LETTERS..".  Changing the setting to zoom text only is completely irrelevant to what we are discussing here.  That will not fix the bilinear filtering of images (making them blurry) on images that are resized in a any way.  Hence using the zoom option on this great site will cause the images to become blurred.  Try it out.

Firefox 3 is still worth the download though.  Eh at least I think so.  I'm sure it'll be fixed eventually and for the time being I am saving the images and looking at them in an external program.

I think we are waiting for this fix Blabeltdude:

Solitude @ 6/19/2008 00:01 commented on Lavitz
Unfortunately there does not seem to be a plugin or a fix for this yet.  Some people have asked on the forums at Mozilla, but it almost seems like they don't understand.

I am currently using Firefox 3 because I've gotten used to the speed.  Other browsers seem sluggish now.  From now on, until there's a plugin or option available to switch the bilinear filtering off, I will just have to save the images to disk to look at them properly....  Or use Opera especially for sites like this.

I quite like this work.  Eh, I'm a newbie however.  It's different and it catches the eye.

Keep it up.
