I actually learned a lot form watching the WIP GIF. Thanks for posting that as well! great piece!

I would remove the cross-bracing on the top of the crate.

imo the piece looks better slightly 'unfinished'. Some reason, the contrast between the finely detailed aspects and the water-color like back-drop just works.

Just Awesome!!!

Nice style. Because of the dark outlines everywhere else (which I believe works well with this character) I feel that the inner hairline could use an outline as well.

Small but cute. are the green pixels there to give a hint of eye color?

I like it, though i prefer it at 2x's zoom. What resolution was the sprite intended to be in-game?

It looks great. I personally think  that the green in the background (looks like it's growing on a tree) could be toned down a bit, as it distracts a little from the beautiful work you did on the face and butterfly (& i gives the illusion, at first, that it's in the foreground). I love everything else about it, especially the way you used the space and the rest of the pallet.

Very nice.  The only thing I'm not sure about, is the shirt getting so untcuked that it hides the belt & the pleat lines in the pants during the animation. Especially since the animation reverses and the shirt seems to magically tuck back in and expose the belt again but more importantly...  we lose the nice shading you did on the first frame on the pants/jacket/shoes.  I know that's a bit nit-picking, but I think it could look better if you continued shading all the frames. Great job regardless, and i think the animation is awesome.

EDIT: I guess i missed the part where you said you intend to color it in more in another program.

Really interesting. The horizontal lines reminds me of scanlines in arcade or old-school computer CRT's. It really works with this piece. The border is a nice touch, but I truly admire what you did with the background, and the 8 color pallet. Just excellent!

These look great!!  Like the color pallet.

(btw, the last item on the top row, possibly a kiwi... wound up with an orange check-mark due to the dither pattern)

I think this is a realy nice piece, only crits i have is...

that imho the calves and feet look big ( But perhaps that how they are meant to be). & I think the coat split in the back isn't centered with regard to the character stance (but I would agree the split "looks" better for the piece the way it is)

I love the flame, but I'm not feeling the green blob (is that the gasoline) in this one, perhaps it's just the viewing angle, not sure really.

Looks really nice. I'm not sure if it was intended but it looks like a few pixels, (rows) are missing on the bottom of the front tire.

All of that "AA" makes the pic look blurry.  I like the dog, but I think you shouldkeep the outline clean.
