decent, pretty curious what techniques allow you to maintain the colors transitions, is there much of rendering, or it is just like pixel by pixel polishing to meet the curves, probably - many techniques used to maintain that quality

very unique

I really like it, but feeling we are not capturing how to make this piece even greater. First - regarding lighting source consistency (direction) - leave it, it looks ok. The composition is fine, looks eyecandy. The black outline - there is a huge contrast between the black the lightest colour that is the nearest to that black. In most cases you could replace the black with darkest rock colour (which is dark grey). If you want to go further - you could replace black for grass/trees - with darkest green which is the shadow's colour. At the end - you will see nice colour consistency. From other points - repeating patterns. Roof, trees, bushes - too much spontanous shapes, sometimes the shapes gets more oval, once more square. Not saying to repeat the same shape - but the same pattern. The same goes with symmetry, bushes/trees would look much more clean if the shape was more mirrored. When you are making lines try to go with pixels lengths like 1 2 3 3 2 1 1 2 2 3 etc. to make the curve line more smooth, going 1 2 1 2 makes it less sinusoid, sadly. At the end - this is a great piece, just feeling that cleaning up your ideas will make you 1 level above artist and the piece will be outstanding.

what I like about this piece is sth that I barely see in others works - readability when 1x size, from that perspective looks really tight

yup, I'm pretty sure that artem, polyducks and jeremy will be the top 3, can't decide which one is my favourite, raven would win for best idea, but this is so damn polished/concrete

Congrats guys! You've just totally broke pixeljoint by skipping 2 challenge rules - size (trippled), amount of colours (80+). I'm out of this place!

perfection, the usage of the darkest colour should be treated as a separate tutorial

@Adarias, I will get back to discussion once the challenge will be closed. Marking that stretching the rule from such limitation (200x150 pixels) to size where 1 pixel is worth 4-6 pixels is more than stretching. It was probably better to cancel the challenge since for a week submission page didn't show any submissions, no one was assuming the challenge is still on-going.

nevertheless, please, be upright

please, mark that even if submission from zhangyue27334 is a really decent piece, it does not fit challenge requirements (Canvas Size - Exactly. 200 (Width) x 150 (Height))

yeah, probably e.g. dark cream white, red, brown would fit better, nevertheless, it was just for testing purposes. I may try to reupload it in future

this is very good! keep drawing in this style. Not sure if it is possible, but changing the preview icon would increase this piece popularity

mix of fantasy-24 from lowspec (half of the colours) minus many dark colours, only 1 light, + fully replaced red colour (4), only 1 green (dark)
