I like them!
You are pillowshading a bit in places, resulting in a lot of banding, and as Odj suggested, reducing the amount of colors would be a great idea, especially, if you ever decide to animate such sprites.

I would also recommend a different background color, when doing sprites! Color perception depends a lot on the background color. Yours is quite dark, resulting in a rather muted value range. My go to background color is RGB:64, 128, 128. I've experimented a lot, and this one seems to be one of the most neutral,non distracting colors you can get, and it will drastically help you withgetting a good value range.
