Went ahead and increased the contrast of the darkest blue.  I think it looks better now.

Very nice style.  Really like the color choices, the alligator in particular.

@ Redshrike - Thanks for the suggestions.  I dissagree about the pillow shading as I can't really find anywhere that has pillowing except for maybe the arms.  I generally try to avoid that.  As for banding...your right, I'll try adding more contrast between the colors in a little while.

Oh, good point.  After looking at this again, I think an even darker background would suit this much better.

Well I've done some work in the past.  None of it is really impressive.  Minor pieces for some video games.
