 Oh snap, you're right! I'm using "indigo" theme so I can see it just fine, but I should probably put some sort of border and background around it for everyone who's using something a bit lighter. Thanks for letting me know, Frost.

 I had thought about that, to be honest, but it didn't appeal to me as much as this does. I might still try it out, though. It wasn't a bad idea at all, just something left for a later date :P

In order for the fade effect around the edge to be smooth I decided to use a different shade for every frame of the animation save the few idle frames. If it weren't for that it would only be about 4 colors and transparancy.

I does seem that some AA around the moon would be a bit better than no AA like it is now. I'll do a mockup and if I can get it to look nice I may post a part 2. Oh, and as far as the background color goes, it's that color just so to help the overall feel of the stamp. With the moon and the stars all there, I figured people would understand that the color was supposted to be space :P

I intentially left the moon like it is so to keep the feel of the piece so the jaggedness is intentional though a bit of AA would probably help it more. The part I tried to full AA was the comet-like thing to the right of the moon and the sort of haze around the moon itself. I could always improve my technique, so i'll head over to the forums and check the tuts out :3

As for the colors, I saved in PNG (Non-interlaced) so there shouldn't be any color distortion. Here is a link to my Photoshop CS5 color table for this piece. I'm not sure how those colors are appearaing in your scan, but you are much more skilled in this area of art than I am so it may be something I'm just not aware of.

 Try #H10889 and #919199, they should work better. Vestindle's are a bit trickey to shade, but if you think you're up to the challenge then go ahead. If I were you I'd just reposition some things so that you didn't have to. Besides, the venstandle looks way better than the vestindle in my opinion. I can't really see why you would want to pixel it in the first place since there is a much better option available.
