The left foot (our left, his right) looks a bit weird to me. The positioning just looks unnatural and, well, almost painful actually. It needs to be pointing forward a little more, about 20-40 degrees maybe? I'm not sure on that bit, you'd just need to adjust until you were happy with it.

Also, the creases on his shirt (is it a shirt? I'm sure it is... I'll call it a shirt) look a little weird, and the front is a bit flat looking. Study clothes more, look at the creases and folds, it might help you.

Other than that, it's a pretty nice piece. I really like the style you've got here, and if you just refine and perfect it a bit it could be amazing.

I'd go through this picking out my particular favourites, but that would take far too long. So, instead, I'll just say this:

Stunning!

Ah! THANK-YOU! I've been wondering how to pixel potions for a while now, because well... I was rubbish before. I've used a design somewhat similar to yours (but much smaller and not as well-done); I hope that's okay?

Anyway, great work! I also really like the people, 2 (cool sword) and 5 (body armour?... shield?)!

I really, really like this. The colours are perfect, the translucent effect is superb, and the monster is cute. Awesome!

@DawnBringer - Yeah, a lot of my colours are very close but I tend to treat them as seperate for whatever reason. I don't often take, for example, the orange from my oranges to use in red, or yellow, or green etc.

And the magenta will, once I put the graphics into the game, be changed for transparent. I use MSPaint when I'm pixel-ing, and that doesn't have transparency (obviously).

I'd noticed that the blues were a bit strong, and I'll probably play around with those a bit when I get home from college. The computers here display colours a bit funny, so I'll probably have to tweak a few things anyway.

And there aren't violet/turquoise colours because, to be perfectly honest, I hadn't thought of them. Most of the time I add colours when I need them; this is the first time I've worked on a palette at the start.

I'll keep what you've said in mind and try to tweak the palette accordingly.

The first thing I'd like to say is that the head seems awfully flat. You could do with a bit more shading/highlights to make it seem a little more 3D.

Also, the arm on the left (our left, his right) is a little hard to read because it just blends in with the ketchup bottle.

Otherwise, a pretty interesting and different idea.

@ Bonhomme - Yep, I agree completely. Will make sure to keep on top of those issues next time!

@ capfal - Many of them probably are redundant. I treated each tile individually picking colours I liked for that particular thing, so there's a needlessly big "palette". If I make any RPG games in the future, I'll definately try to keep that number down.

@ luizfelipespr - Alrighty, I'll keep it in mind and maybe go back to this one some time.

@ cure - Yeah, I get you. I'll make sure to keep that in mind next time I make a platformer game/mockup.

@ luizfelipespr - That was err... sort of the aim.

The backgrounds usually are when I make a platform/sidescroller mockup/game. I just never know what to put in there...

Yeah, I was going to try and make it pixel art too, but I just wanted to create something quick and nice looking (I'm not very good at PA gradients).

EDIT- Fixed the issue with the gradient background.
