Love the colours!

I'm not saying it's unlikable, I just tried it and didn't get what the hype was about. Mostly I'm just mad at it for the bad code. Not like I could do better, but for the cash people fork out; I'm just saying it should be a more sizable part of their budget.

I don't just churn out random pieces without meaning...

I believe so... It's not as literal as some of the other entries, but it does take place inside the brain, in the mind. So I'd like to believe it's a valid entry.

Mostly because Terraria is poorly optimized and has higher system requirements than, for example, GunZ. I checked them both. I don't mean to hate on Terraria, but it needs a better grapics card than Minecraft. Although Minecraft is more RAM hungry. Also on the topic of system requirements lab. It can be WILDLY inaccurate. Check your specs and compare them to what it says on the developer's site or see forums for user experiances. Although they aren't the best source for that either as they tend to "doctor" them. As I write this, I do realize that it is an advantage to never worry about specs and there are downsides to PC gaming. But what gives makes me feel good about is the thought that if something breaks and the warranty has run out, I can buy a part and install it myself without having to dump the whole thing or have someone else poking inside it. That doesn't apply to laptops or pre-configured PCs, but hey. All in all what I guess I'm saying is that every system has it's share of problems you have to deal with. RROD, bricking / bad firmware updates, or the manufacturer's database being hacked, having to blow on the cartrige to magically fix it, etc. I just like to play FPS games with a mouse and keyboard, and I like the option of plugging a controller in if I so desire. Exclusives are BS in my oppinion and even though I might really want to try a few, on principle, I'm not going to fork out money just to get a platform to play it on. There is no excuse for exclusivity other than business decisions and I hate that. The whole Mac vs PC vs Xbox vs PS vs whatever is a big cock fight. I also hate the fact that a lot of good games suffer from dysmal ports, due to them being developed for a console. Those games are restricted in their design by the hardware of the console, and as such have small problems ranging from small FOVs to limited LOD and LOS to a host of other problems.

So, in summary. I hate developers for catering to the console markets and dumping bad ports to the PC to get a second burst of profit. I hate consoles that either require you to have a subscription or limit you to the point of uselessness if you don't. But to each it's own, I do not judge and I sure as hell can see the comfort in owning and using a console. I don't hate the player, I hate the company.

*Deep Breath*

It used to be the market serving the consumer and it has turned in to not just the consumer serving the market, but the market is serving itself too. It's bloated and disgusting across all platforms including the PC. I hate it.

I was writing this in reply to you greenraven, but it really turned in to a rant, and I'm sorry.  What I meant to convey to you that terraria is a ripoff in my opinion and I personally don't understand its popularity.

Now pardon me everyone, while I fire up my 486, ignore the outside world and pretend I'm back in '92 playing Space Quest IV.

Glorious PC Gaming Master Race reporting in. The only console I own is a PSP. And that was a gift. And I don't use it much anymore.  Oh how glad I am not to have gotten that ps and xbox when I asked for them, else I might be caught up in the gen wars myself.

Having said that, there are a few games I'm sad I missed out on...

I suggest you group your character sprites in to one submission as per rule 8 of the submission rules. Just a suggestion tho'.

I'm really glad you like it!  I wasn't sure I could pull it off when I got to work, but wow, was this a great opportunity to learn from my mistakes!

I really didn't want to come across as rude, and I'm sorry if I did!  I suggested the change with the best of intentions and as I read my comment, I see that it could have easily be taken as agressive. It was just a suggestion tho' and I assure you I meant no offense.

Not bad, but the dithering on the top right of the hat seems a bit off. It doesn't seem to follow the light source completely.

First off, you'll need to add a small pic as preview, second, both characters are dark and so is the boat. This makes them hard to make out. Try either changing the color of the boat, or the characters, as the contrast is not nearly high enough between them and the background.

Great idea, but I'd flip the tankard so the handle faces the spine, would better resemble a kidney that way, otherwise great job!

11 colors for this size seems like overkill.

Since I don't have a lot of skill, I had to compensate with a LOT of hard work...  Started working on it once the current challenge was posted.

We'll get back around to Pong eventually. It'll have amazing HD graphics in black & white with awesome lighting... Or alternately, we'll just sit and stare at a brownish stain on the screen when COD n+1 comes out.

I love it! Brings back good memories. I do however quetion the need to use so many colors with all the dithering... Seems a bit unnecessary.

You can please all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time...  I really struggled with some parts of the animation and I'm glad it got appreciated!

Also, check the painting in the background to see an alternative to the brain'splosion!

It's not bad, but the mountainside seems a little too jagged and the sky feels empty.
