Ok... probably partially descended from Golgafrinchans.

I think Arthur descended from a bunch of telephone sanitizers, marketing consultants, hairdressers and other middle men from Golgafrincham. :)
Apart from that it's a nice piece... although I have to agree with Opacus. If you for example try to stand in Arthur or Ford's pose you'll notice if you lean backward your hips will automatically move forward.

Is that a ganja cig or a thermometer? Cause it looks like neither. And I'm a Dutch chemist student so I know what they both look like. ;P
Apart from that it's a nice piece.

Looks good... on the preview you look like Lincoln Burrows. :)

I found it! And now I'm sure this was based of that Magic the Gathering card. It was Fatal Blow. And I think you should credit George Praft as creator of the reference material and link to it.

A flail? I thought that was a medieval weapon. Can't remember ever seeing a roman wield it before.
Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Hehe, he looks like a fat Rob Zombie. :)
Looks nice... although his legs could use some movement.

No, that's not the one I meant... there's one that looks a lot more like it.

Were the guy and the lightning bolt inspired by a Magic the Gathering card? It really reminds me of one, I'm sure there's a card on which a guy is struck by a lighning bolt. Can't remember the name though, and I don't have my cards here.

If it is based of it I think you should mention your reference material.

Although this plant has inspired me to go on quests like finding the nearest Donner to the discotheque at 8 am... It has never inspired me to change the world, maybe making plans to do so I almost immediately forgot. Smoking/eating it generally makes people lazy. Even when it energizes you the energy will only be used for dancing and drinking even faster. If you mean it in the sense of fibre and biofuel... never mind.
Yes I'm Dutch. :P

Reminds me of Skyroads. :)
This piece is nothing special though, I might even call it bad.

Any chance for a Linux version? And I don't mean running it in a Windows emulator.

I think it would probably be better if you'd erase the bottom outline under the feet. Because the floor already has an outline. So basically remove the bottom row of pixels. Not sure, but I think it'd be better.

This piece has something really cool to it. With better timing and improved frames this could be a masterpiece.
Somehow it reminds me very mutch of SD-Snatcher in the MSX2. :)

Did you do the dithering by hand or did you use a gradient tool in 'diffuse' mode?

user

Reminds me of Morla from the Neverending Story. :)
Nice use of colours although I think the dithering could use some more texture/direction. Great work nevertheless.

Looks great... bad choice of backgroundcolour though, I can barely see the dark parts of his legs.

Shouldn't the right foot (camera right) start closer to the left wheel and then slide up to the right wheel as the board is in the air?
And shouldn't the left end of the board touch the floor before going into the air?

I'm just thinking back to a presentation a former classmate of mine did... combined with plain logic. ;)

I am struck by a wave of nostalgia! All my favorite computer game characters (and much more) pixeled wonderfully in a single image... I wonder how much longer I can take it.
I mean... even Twinsen and Manny are there.

Guybrush could've been better I think, the rest is awesome.
