For a dollar or two I'd by it with no second thought. Maybe for 3 bucks even.
The idea is good. As far as I know, mobile market lacks variety and people will like anything different from another runner. But also it might not shoot. This shit happens. Finding a publisher might also be a good idea. With good promotion and such game you'll become a millionaire in a week.
feiss> Thanks for those kind words and sharing your point of view. I'm really ok with not-buying games =) I'm mostly trying to figure out if I could make a quick dev (like a month or so) and have a viable income doing so. I would love to manage to make something small, polished, meaningfull in terme of gameplay and based on a very small niche such as adventure games. And if i could stick in a month i could sell it around a dollar or two. But to be honest I really have no idea if it s a good or a bad idea.
My idea was to palette swap every screen and use this as a core mechanic to make some objects change utilities from scene to scene. Also I've loved to work with those monochromatic scheme =)
This is brilliant, congrats!! I don't know if I would pay for this game since I don't buy games :D but it has potential and you should study the possibility of making a game of it for sure!! It's really engaging and mesmerizing..
I wonder if you would maintain the same palette through the game, or if the bottom GUI would always share the same palette of the screen.. It could be nice :)
As a general question to you all:
How much would you be willing to pay for a short (mobile) adventure game ?
something like 3 scenes with a strong re-playability ( kinda eyezmaze grow style) ?
Around 1-3hours gameplay.
It would help me a ton as many persons have asked me to do a full playable version.
Thanks !
pizzalated> Each and every pixel of this piece also love you back.
Pixels are the best.
Gecimen> Those were the quickest and funiest part of this mockup. I could draw items all day long and be a happy man =)
jalonso> Yes, It could get pretty messy with the right combinaison !
Mattie > Thanks a lot =) Those old school adventure games are really part of my graphic DNA guess.
This looks unique! I enjoyed every pixel in this mockup :)
The look and feel is so unique and cool and there's fighting
Finlal> You're too good to be true, you must have used an Walkthrough...
If not : We should (must) make an adventure game together ! Your brain is in the perfect state of mind.
Zizka> If you concider that life is an adventure game, then yes !
=) Ok, It may be a little less fun than DOTT.
Ok, applying point-n-click logic you should feed carrot to the snake, so that rabbit would attack it and stop interrupting you from interacting with the fan. Then you turn it and put octopus on it. Octopus gets scared and gives you ink, which you gather in those bottles. After that you must write an impossible wish (which you get from the daydreamer in the previous location) with that ink on the label from the bottle and throw it in wish-o-matic. Lamps go red and start deflecting lasers, so you can shoot it with the blaster and the deflected light would hit the acorn on the tree, which you can use on the boar three locations ago.
Mr_Mk_ everything you say sounds good to me, but I think one month is a tight schedule.. But if you can try it, it will be a great experience! :)
