The main reason i use MSPaint is that I'm used to it and its hard for me to change (the clean interface, the keyboard and mouse shortcuts, etc). I tried using graphics gale and other editors, mainy because i miss some pallete control, transparency and animation tools, but I don´t feel confortable hahaha
very nice :) could have loosen up some areas and made them transparentish (background dither) to make it more fluid
Do you happen to know Raku, the developer of "Jack the Reaper"? He works primarily in MSPaint and has a very colourful style. Is there a certain appeal in using MSPaint over Aseprite, GraphicsGale, Photoshop etc?
Seeing the dense range of colours on the moon's surface and the edges of the clouds framing it, is kind of nostalgic. It makes me think of a lot of Amiga-era games with a semi-dozen colours working in an 8*8 cluster, but it also makes me think of the outskirts of the island in Cave Story.
the more I zoom in the more I like it
Really nice clusters for the clouds and the lightning of them looks great, too
didn't mean it as a bad thing at all, this is clearly polished on a pixel level. Just that the shapes look like those of Dan's clouds (which is a good thing!)
Hahah I dont even know what is index painting, will search about it
Its 100% mspaint pencil
@DatMuffinMan: It has not at all the visual of index painting, look better at the clusters.
damn, this is really nice. Is it index painted by any chance? I know Dan Fessler did a lot of stuff for Chasm with index painting and some of his clouds look similar to these.
Reminds me of Blood Moon, the moon of prophecy.
