Fantastic color scheme. Great atmosphere, as specialmin64 put it. Please, continue! :)
They look so great at 3-4x..
I love this! Especially screen 3
To Damian: I agree, should be viewed at 2x or even 4x. Thanks :)
Those last two looked a bit noisy for my likeing, but look superb at x2! Overall, just fantastic qaulity.
just a bit more of work you don't want to spend if it's not absolutely necessary
I get it, when you're making a game you will need to cut corners sometimes, otherwise you can end up working on it forever.
To GameBoy: It looks a bit better in motion, but you are not wrong I think. But I can't rework the graphics all the time. Also you have to consider that a non-mirrored background is just a bit more of work you don't want to spend if it's not absolutely necessary. And thanks :)
To specialmin64: Yeah, I think that's because 3D graphics were kinda new and it seems more simple to build your own game with pixels. But the scene seems kinda dying now.
I'm fiddling with RPG Maker too.
Background in castle road is kinda too busy, I think simple shapes of trees in one colour would be enough. I don't like mirrored background in temple bridge too.
Aside of that it's lovely, I especially like these pine trees in first two shots (they're just perfect) and whole temple exterior.
These are amazing. Great atmosphere.
Edit: rpgmaker is what got me into pixelart too. Even random people i've talked to who aren't artists have said they tried making pixelart for rpgmaker back in the day lol. Interesting how many people used that program
These are excellent tiles. They have that good old RPG feel.
