The body proportions are done quite well here, and on a large piece too. 
I can't find it? Can you point it out? It's probably an artifact from gimp trying to give it a transperant background. It's my first time trying to use gimp to do anything and it has a weird system for creating alpha.
there is a gradient adding extra colors to the piece on the right forearm.
