I'm not sure what the rules are either, but people link to their games and it's not usually a problem. I think as long as the submission stands well enough on its own and isn't a blatant ad for the game and the game is relevant to the submission, linking should not be a problem - after all, it's relevant context for the submission.

This is my first time viewing the background at 1x zoom actually, and I'd be tempted to agree with the green. Never bothered me during testing, but it seems the contrast shines the smaller it gets.
Is it playable somewhere? Looks fun :F Somehow, despite always thinking of these puzzles as a type of pixel art, I never imagined a pixel art UI for them.
The green+red animated background is rather uncomfortable and distracting though. I think removing the green would make it less busy.
