Not at all what I expected from the preview, but it's worthy much love regardless. The tail/body looks a bit flat, but it kind of helps the face to pop out.
It's blue though, try viewing it on a more neutral background than white. :P Anyways, I originally planned on creating a better background but as you can see, I got too lazy to make one.

I think you should better use canvas space and find nice composition that supplement your vision of poseidon.
