Doesn't have the shading of copper, and the palette isn't the best (thankyou, discord people) Can I just blame it all on not doing pixelart for a month?
This started out as a very rough digital painting, here's the process.
oh wow this is sick

It might've just been twitter :^)

Thanks yuew, just sort of did them randomly haha, guess they turned out all right. Hope you're doing fine, I'm very bad at keeping in touch with you and daniel :(
Still can't get over the detail on the tree branches... and everything else for that matter.

Hell yes brotha, slayed this!
edit - 69th favourite! ;)
You have a great ghosting in the background.
This is totally my thing man ! i specially love the pedestal, the apparent simplicity and those high quality clusters.
Good job! I like your approach on the background.
Mhm, actually in the wipgif I sort of try to do that except I go full oxidized with no brown. Didn't really work out even with all my copper references at hand
Yea, you're very right, having it more weathered and beat up would've been more inline with the rock slab that it's on too.
I don't think I come close to the amount attention he puts to his pieces in regards to how clean they look! You've also gotten some real badass animations under your belt in the last year ;)
This it's great! I was thinking that a little more red in the palette and a little more contrasted highlight on the statue could give more of a copper colour to it, but that hammered metal look is perfect!
Being that it's a slightly more gloomy piece, I do agree with Manupix that there would be nothing wrong with giving it that worn and oxidized look. I also agree that it's excellent.
wow it is awesome.
It's incredible how far you've come in the last 2 years. I hate to compare you to someone else, but you and a3um are like different flavored versions of the same dish. I mean that in the best way possible
really good work love these tiles
Copper weathers to verdigris. Might help to have a little of that on some edges.
Agree with cure anyway =)
This is excellent.
