What a charming animation! There's a lot of personality in the way her eyes move back and forth, and kudos on the earring! Small details like that are hard to convey but with your palette it really pops. :)
@PixelMart I would love to play a game full of cute witches! The more witches, the better, that's my motto :)
witches can be super cute :D
i plan to make my game based with witches xD
i challenge you for cute witches!
Ah, my mistake! Thanks for letting me know. I've updated a new version :)
You don't have to submit art to get points to use on the forum. Commenting and rating would be enough. The reason you're able to use the forum already is because of the points you got in other ways, since I don't think submissions even count until they've been approved.
You don't have to delete it, and you can always edit this submission to update it. I just mentioned it so you can make better use of the site in the future. I do recommend updating the image to only include the 1x version though, or to remove the detail (large) file entirely. When your full work fits as the preview image, you don't need a detail file at all, that's just for when your work is too large to fit into the size limit of the small file.
Thank you so much for all of this feedback, as well as the advice for how this site works! As you can probably tell, this is my first time with PixelJoint. I had initially tried to post to the forum but it wouldn't let me because I was too new and hadn't uploaded anything, which was when I submitted this instead. I'll be sure to save uploads only for the absolute final versions in the future :) Do you think I should delete this to keep things orderly?
I see what you mean about the shadow color! That's a very good point, and I'll keep it in mind for a future pass. Thank you again for taking the time to respond!
You don't need to pre-zoom for PJ, the site has zoom buttons for every submission.
The shadows on the skirt are a little hard to make out, I think a more contrasting shadow colour would work better. It would also help the underside of the hat read more clearly as an underside, right now it's unclear whether it's the underside or the top, because it's so similar in colour to the cone (which is on top).
If you're looking for feedback on artwork that you're still working on, I recommend posting on the forum, there's a WIP section there. The gallery is for finished works and WIPs aren't allowed, so you're less likely to get specific critique here.
Edit: Looks like you've already posted there, great! Since the forum is for WIPs and the gallery is for finished work, you're sending mixed messages about whether this is a WIP or finished though. That could make people on the forum reluctant to offer much feedback, and it could make the mods reluctant to accept this to the gallery. In the future, you should post on the forum first, then submit to the gallery once you feel you're done.
Thank you very much :) I worked hard on the earrings, so I'm glad it looks good!
