A remake of the RPG tileset I made 7 years ago with the Chip16 palette.
Thanks! Yes, that's a good point; it'll definitely make the architecture pop out more.
I absolutely love the colors and tilework! The shop detail with the shopkeeper is just too much fun, not to mention the ninja in the back alley! I'd probably add some neat shadows for the tall structures (Walls and houses), but it's really fun as it is!
What a cool atmosphere. I imagine exploring it like it was an MMO.
Awesome color usage.
That's a good point about the stone walls, I agree that they're what I like the least about this piece. It could be quite easily resolved with a few blades of grass and other things overlapping the tiles, and a few variations in the tile itself. Thank you for the C+C!
Very cool, I like how the palette of the house works with the ground tiles making the house stand out. The tree area and grassland are neat also. The characters are quite nifty, a lot of uniqueness in each one packed in so small sprites.. Only the walls look a bit boring and too square/unnatural in comparison to the rest to me.
