A lot of Calvin and Hobbes fans will probably wax whimsical about a cozy little RPG or even an open-world game where you can plough through the snow to your heart's content. Me, I'm just imagining the truckload of weird sports games and platformers similar to what Snoopy got, and at least that IP got a rocking Ace Combat clone out of it. The oft-quoted, never-seen Hamster Huey and the Gooey Kablooey even got a mediocre real-life book adaptation that did a lot to spoil the intrigue of imagining how the original book fascinated Calvin on a primeval level.
Anyway the real ideal Calvin and Hobbes game would have to work on Calvinball rules, which would require a level of procedurally generated content and code unheard of in the history of game development.
EDIT: the sprite is really good and I like the soft dark-grey outline that takes some of the edge off everything. It's really difficult to replicate Watterson's intricate lineweight on the tiny canvas called for with pixelart so it feels like this and the Hobbes sprite go some way to capturing the cozy feel in a different manner.
