I found this old sketch I had done on my phone back in 2015 or 2016 (possibly 16 after having seen the witch...). Decided to bring it into Aseprite and play around with it, not really with a plan but just to experiment with textures and colors and see where it led. 

The story behind the scene I leave up to you.

I feel like Deceiver's Loop Hero character portraits made us all want to try out that stripey/dithery shading he used. Did he get you too?

This style is so unique and spectacular. The combination of the colors, the composition, the designs and the hatching reminds me of the dark 19th century fairy tale artwork that scared me as a boy. Like this.
